CfP: The Hungarian Journal of Minority Studies

The Hungarian Journal of Minority Studies, the annual academic journal of the Research Institute for Hungarian Communities Abroad, is dedicated to publishing academic research on:
  • national, ethnic, religious and other minorities
  • kin-state politics
  • diasporas and diaspora politics
  • minority politics
  • minority rights and minority protection
  • minority‒state relations
  • other topics related to the above.

The primary focus of the journal is the East-Central European region’s ethnic and minority issues, but articles concerning other regions will also be taken into consideration for acceptance.

We seek to provide an interdisciplinary academic forum for the presentation of theoretical and empirical research, drawing on sociology, social policy, linguistics, political science, international relations, geography, anthropology, history, etc. We welcome contributions from established scholars as well as early career researchers.

Articles in the journal are normally between 30 000 and 50 000 characters. Submitted papers are peer reviewed after the initial editorial screening.

The journal is accepting paper submissions on an ongoing basis. The references in the submitted papers should comply with the Chicago manual of style’s notes and bibliography format (please use footnotes, not in-text citations). For details see: www.chicagomanualofstyle.org.

Questions about the journal and paper submissions can be addressed to zoltan.kantor@bgazrt.hu.

Kind regards,

Zoltán Kántor
